Recharge portals built on your own API provider account

A recharge portal does not hold any telecom balance itself. It sends each request to an API provider you have an account with. We build the portal around that: retailer logins, wallet balances, commissions and a clear record of each transaction.

  • Connects to your provider
  • Wallet ledger for every retailer
  • Failed transaction handling

Overview

How does a recharge portal actually work?

A recharge portal takes a request for a mobile, DTH or bill payment service and passes it to an operator or API provider, who carries it out. You need an account with such a provider first, and your rates, operators and commissions come from that agreement, not from us. We work with businesses in Delhi and across India.

Most recharge businesses work through a chain of agents. A distributor adds balance for retailers, a retailer uses that balance to serve a customer, and each level earns the margin you set. Most of the build goes into getting this ledger right, because each rupee must be traceable when a retailer disputes one.

The real test is failed and pending transactions. Status comes back from the provider, sometimes late, and the portal must refund or hold the balance correctly without any double credit. Bill payments, or holding money in wallets for general customers, may bring in regulatory rules and need their own approvals, so check them with your provider and adviser before you plan on them.

01Do you provide the recharge API or balance?

No. You need your own account with an operator or API provider, and your balance and rates are with them. We build and connect the portal. We can explain what to ask a provider, but the choice and agreement are yours.

02What commission will I earn?

That comes from your provider's rates and the margins you set for agents. We cannot promise any figure. The portal simply calculates and records whatever slabs you set.

03What happens if a recharge fails but the balance is deducted?

The portal holds the amount as pending and checks the provider's status. When the provider confirms failure, the balance is refunded and logged once. Cases that stay unclear go to your team with the provider's reference.

04Do I need a licence to run this?

It depends on what you do. Reselling through a provider has different requirements from holding customer money in wallets or offering bill payments or money transfer. Please check with your adviser and provider, since we are not legal advisers.

05How much does a recharge portal cost?

It depends on the services, the agent levels and the number of providers to connect. Send us your provider's API details and we will reply with a fixed, written quote.
