Custom osCommerce work for stores that still sell
osCommerce is one of the oldest store platforms, and many stores on it run on code written years ago. We keep these stores working, make the changes you need, and help you move when the time comes.
- Repairs on old code
- Custom changes made
- Migration with data kept
Overview
What does osCommerce work involve today?
osCommerce was one of the first free store platforms, and some long-running Indian stores still use it. Newer community editions exist, but many live stores sit on very old code that has been patched by several developers over the years. We work with businesses in Delhi and across India.
Most of our osCommerce work is practical: fixing errors after hosting changes, adding a payment gateway, changing how a page or report works, and closing security gaps. We work on a copy first, because old code can be fragile.
We are also honest when a store has reached its limit. If each fix is taking longer and costing more, moving your products, customers and orders to OpenCart, WooCommerce or a custom PHP store is usually the better spend. We will show you both options side by side.

More details
Fix it or move it: what we look at
- Which osCommerce version and edition the store is built on
- How much custom code has been added over the years
- Whether it can run on a PHP version hosts still support
- How often it breaks and how long fixes take
- Features you need that would be hard to add
- Whether your data can be cleanly exported for a move

01Is it safe to keep running osCommerce?
It depends on the version and how the store has been maintained. Very old installs often have known security gaps and may not run on current PHP. We review your store and tell you plainly how risky it is.
02Can you add a new feature to my old osCommerce store?
Usually yes, if the code underneath is stable enough. We test the change on a copy first. If the feature would need a lot of rework, we will tell you and compare it with the cost of moving.
03Which platform should I move to from osCommerce?
OpenCart is often the closest fit for stores focused on selling. WooCommerce suits businesses that also want a content site. Stores with unusual custom features may be better as custom PHP. We suggest one after seeing your store.
04Will my customers have to register again after a migration?
Their accounts and order history are moved across. Old osCommerce passwords often use a format newer platforms do not read, so customers may need to reset their password once.
05How much does osCommerce work cost?
It depends on the state of the code and the job: a fix, a custom change or a full move. We send a fixed, written quote after a short call and a look at the store.
06How can osCommerce support a B2B ordering system?
Custom osCommerce development can include business customer registration, negotiated pricing, bulk order forms and account-based purchasing features.
07What if a store needs a product configurator?
Custom features can let shoppers select product specifications, add optional components and view updated prices before placing an order.
08Can osCommerce connect orders with an existing business system?
Yes, custom API integrations can transfer order, customer and inventory data between osCommerce and supported ERP, CRM or accounting systems.
09How can a store manage products that are made to order?
Custom workflows can capture product specifications, special instructions and expected production timelines for made-to-order purchases.
10What makes custom osCommerce useful for businesses with unique workflows?
It allows store functionality to be adapted around specific business processes instead of forcing the business to rely only on standard e-commerce features.
