CMS Website Development
Drupal websites for organisations with complex content
Drupal is built for sites with lots of structured content, many editors and strict permissions. It needs more development effort than WordPress, so it pays off on larger, more organised sites.
- Content types and fields
- Draft, review, publish
- Upgrades from Drupal 7
Overview
What makes Drupal different
Drupal is a free, open-source CMS known for handling structured content. Instead of plain pages, you define content types such as courses, faculty, events or reports, each with its own fields, and the site lists and links them automatically. We work with businesses in Chandigarh and across India.
It also has fine-grained permissions and editorial workflows. A department can draft a page, a reviewer can approve it and only then does it go live. Universities, publishers and large organisations use it for this reason.
Drupal takes longer to build and needs a developer for most changes to structure. For a small business site it is usually more than you need, and we will say so.

What we plan before building on Drupal
Good Drupal sites start with a content plan. We work this out with you before any design.
- The content types you need and the fields in each
- Who edits what, and who approves before publishing
- How content is listed, filtered and linked across the site
- Which old content must be migrated and how it maps
- Integrations such as single sign-on, CRM or forms
- Hosting and update plan for security releases

01Is Drupal harder to use than WordPress?
For editors, adding and updating content is not much harder once it is set up. Changing the site's structure or adding features needs a developer more often than WordPress does.
02Our site is on Drupal 7. What should we do?
Drupal 7 has reached end of life, so it no longer gets regular security updates. Moving to the current Drupal version is a rebuild of the theme and a migration of content, which we plan in stages.
03Is Drupal a good fit for a small business?
Usually not. A small business site with a few pages and a blog is quicker and cheaper on WordPress. Drupal is worth it when content structure and permissions are complex.
04Can different departments manage their own pages?
Yes. We set up roles so each department edits only its section, with an approval step before changes go live if you want one.
05How much does a Drupal website cost?
It depends on the number of content types, workflows, integrations and how much content needs migrating. We send a fixed, written quote after a short call and a look at your requirements.
